Notas para una lectura política del psicoanálisis
Keywords:
politics, psychoanalysis, abstinence, power relationsAbstract
Psychoanalysis and politics make up a complex problems field, of which here we want to point out one of its theoretical knots. Through a counterpoint between two authors as dissimilar as Carl Schmitt and Jaques Lacan, we want to focus on a very problematic node for psychoanalytic theory: the power relations that this device installs. It is highlighted how in Lacan’s work abstinence appears as the axis of his conceptualization of power, which is the renunciation of the exercise of power. We want to draw attention to the richness of producing a decentering, in a political reading of psychoanalysis, of the notion of abstinence as the only visibilization of power, in order to open new questions about the specific ways in which this device operates and the effects it produces.
